Resorts World Made Me Miserable!!

How ironic is it that when I do actually feel like this year is gonna be a great one, my first blog entry of the year isn't the wonted happy or positive entry...

Last night, I was invited by VISA who was invited by Resorts World Manila to partake in the advanced screening of the much awaited film 'Les Miserables'. Being the "broadway-buff" that I am, I've been counting on the days 'till the film. So when I found out that we had tickets to the screening a week in advanced (for the reason being that it will start showing publicly during the 16th) I was exuberant!!

The event was quite elegant as people were dressed up in gowns and the like. A number of socialites partook in the event as well, probably just as excited as I was. (I mean, who ISN'T excited to see this film!?)

I've attended a number of premieres at Resorts World Manila, but this was the first premiere I attended that was going to be held in their "renowned" Performing Arts Theatre. The event was quite promising as a few of Philippine's pre-eminent singers sang 'Les Miserables' songs and paid tribute to the movie. The performances were okay. Not bad but not great either. I guess it was because of the sound system or their lack of voice control over the microphone. Some parts were actually painful towards the ears...

After their "fifteen minute" intermission before the showing, they announced saying that they needed five minutes more. *my impatient self began to time them..* Five minutes then turned into forty... I was getting so antsy!! I could already spot people leaving here and there. I would've probably been less pissed if they allowed food inside or the theatre had good working wifi. But, NO. Resorts World Manila, made everybody wait an excruciating one hour just to say that they were having technical difficulties and that they couldn't show the movie. I was undeniably pissed and seriously at loss for words!!! I was just like "WTF?!JSHJD?!" I honestly felt bad for the people who took their time to get ready for this poorly planned event.

They even announced saying that everybody inside would have access to watch Les Miserables for free only due to AVAILABILITY!? GEEZ. The least they should do is reserve one whole cinema to accommodate the ones who wasted their time just sitting there...

Resorts World Manila, seriously does have to think of a way to make-up for this horrible experience!! It was pure disappointment.

Despite this rant, how was your New Years? I wish you all a great year ahead and hope you keep reading my blog. :)

Teenage Dream

This post is certainly long over due, but it's better late than never, right?

Last month on the 19th of October, my dreams came true. *laughs* kidding aside, a band I loved deeply came to Manila!!

The Jonas Brothers aren't exactly the best band in terms of vocal range, but there's just something about that Disney boy band I fell in love with during my grade school/high school days... it was probably their charm and sweet catchy tune that swooned me over.

The MOA Arena is so huge! So sadly, the crowd didn't fill up all spaces but surprisingly this was the loudest crowd I've ever witnessed. I mean, imagine all the fan girls who've waited around 7 years for their arrival. CRAZY!!! And just to prove my statement, here's a link to how loud the crowd was that night:

Outfit of the day:

Chiffon Top: Taipei - Jeans: UNIQLO
Necklace: Birthday Gift - Shoes: Forever 21
Bag: Charles & Keith - Watch: Fossil

I don't wear jeans often, but I just had to buy these pair from UNIQLO not only for its colour, but it's ultra stretch material makes it extremely comfortable to move in. :)

Molten Lava Cake with a Shot of Vanilla Ice Cream!!

I was screaming my heart out for Nick Jonas!! I swear, he's my boyfriend.. he just doesn't know it yet. HAHAHAHA. *freaky*

Here's Iona, my best friend. :) She's the girl I always break into song with during our Jonas years.. *FAN GIRL MODE*

There were a couple of songs we hoped they would sing like:

1. When You Look Me In The Eyes
2. Hello Beautiful
3. Love Bug
and the list goes on...

Happy to say, they sang all of those and more!!
They even sang one of my favourites entitled 'Give Love A Try' from their Disney sitcom JONAS

It was definitely great reminiscing. For that night, I felt like I was in Grade school all over again...

I'm very grateful that VISA gave me tickets to watch The Jonas Brothers. :)

It wasn't my first time at the Platinum Suite, during my previous entries I wrote on my Lady Gaga experience which you can read on here:

Every time spent at the VISA box is a great one! Not only are they very accommodating, but the food is always outstanding. :)

The platinum suite will be used for VISA promotions and lucky card holders will have the chance to experience all the perks that come with it for future concerts and shows at the arena.

So what're you waiting for?
Switch to VISA now! ;)

Born This Way Ball

So on May 22, 2012 I had the chance to watch Lady Gaga again for her second visit in the Philippines. Her tickets were incredibly pricy so I didn't even bother buying it. But thankfully, I got to experience the concert at the VISA PLATINUM SUITE at the new Mall Of Asia Arena for free. :)

Inside the VISA Platinum Suite Lounge.

Lady Gaga was really good live! It was my second time watching her, but this time around she was so much better! The set was amazing and her vocals were really good too. All in all such a great concert. :)
SUPER YUMMY FOOD!
My favorite were the risotto balls that had a cheesy surprise in the middle. :")

Me and my brother Josh after the concert.
Yes, we are wearing the same color.
This usually happens and we only find out once we're out of the house. Talk about Unagi!

Unagi: Total state of awareness.

It was no question why both her concerts were sold out.
The concert was amazing!

I felt like such a VIP thanks to VISA. The suites have separate entrances in the back so you won't have to worry about the crowd. The suites give out really yummy food and beverages. Everything is just so secluded in one box, you feel like you're having a private concert all to yourself.

The platinum suite will be used for VISA promotions and lucky card holders will have the chance to experience all the perks that come with it for future concerts and shows at the arena.

So what're you waiting for little monsters?
Use your VISA card now!
And if you aren't using VISA, I suggest you switch now. ;)

(Couldn't bring my camera inside so all photos were taken with my iPhone, so sorry if they're not as clear.)
