Last Friday Night

I could never become a pescatarian nor would I ever become a vegetarian. What more a vegan!? That just means, no cupcakes, pasta, ice cream and all things yummy that I love. :(

Last friday night was spent with one of my closest friends, Mirabai. She invited me to go to The Fort with her and her college friends so that we could show her friend from Germany a good time. :)

Having tried majority of the places in High Street, I had a few places in mind to where we could eat. Biggest challenge was, that we had a vegan with us... HAHA. A lot of places came to mind, but SLICE stood out with all their healthy food choices. I've eaten there a few times before, you can check my entry here.

Meet Sarah! She's from Waldorf, just like Bai and I. :)

Being the vegan that Sarah is, she had them eliminate the goat cheese.

Barbecue Chicken Rice Melt (P390.00)

Barbecue chicken strips on brown rice covered with cheese.

You'd be crazy enough not to salivate when reading that! True enough, it tasted as good as it sounded. I highly recommend you try it when eating at SLICE

Monggo with Spinach and Tofu (P250.00)

Hearty monggo soup with spinach, chunks of tofu and a hint of curry. Served with mixed brown rice with an assortment of mix-ins.

Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich

I'm a sucker for philly cheese steak sandwiches. I personally love the one from Brothers Burger! This one on the other hand, looked real yummy too. I'll probably try it out soon. :)

Headed to Jamba Juice for Sarah's first Jamba fix since they don't have it at all in Germany. :)

Definitely one fat ass stall. HAHA!

A few months ago, I tried this really good Italian Ice stall at Mercato Centrale and will never forget how yummy their Honey Dew Melon flavoured Italian Ice was! Sadly, they didn't have it when I visited. But here, check 'em out: Mariani's Italian Ice

50 pesos / scoop !

Thousand layered crepe. More like 28-layered!

Look how soaked I am due to the oh-so random rain fall that night!! My flats were soaking wet, it felt so gross. :(

Bai and her college friends, Jess and Lean!

Mochiko's flavours just gets better and better! I usually order their Black Sesame, but I couldn't shake off the fact that they actually put one whole Oreo into the mochi ball! An Oreo addict like me certainly DID go crazy over it. :")

A weekend spent in The Fort is never complete without a good meal, your Jamba fix, and a pig-out session at Mercato Centrale. Despite the heavy rain fall and the scary thunder, it was a fun Friday spent with good company. Hoping that Sarah enjoyed her first night out in Manila. :)

Why I Live for Saturdays

When Pizza comes to mind, I instantly think New York. New York, where the pizzas are extremely delicous and served at large! Sadly, pizzas in Manila don't really suffice except this pizza joint I will be talking about today!

Last saturday I finally tried the most talked about pizza joint in Manila, Nolita and it was NO DISAPPOINTMENT whatsoever. They certainly did not scrimp on ingredients and left me going out a happy customer. :)

I loved everything about their pizzas! From the toppings to the crust itself. There was nothing left on our plates afterwards, not even the crust (and we usually hate the crusts) it was just THAT GOOD!

I was there for lunch at around 11:30 so not many people were there, but they're usually really packed during dinner so better go early.

Pesto grilled chicken with sun-dried tomatoes and the original cheese which were both so mouth-watering!

My personal favourite (so far), the Chicken Parmigiano pizza. Everything about it was yummy! The chicken was really filling that I almost couldn't finish my second pizza.

Pizzas at Nolita's don't come cheap. They're priced at about P200.00 + each but are 20-22 inches in size and are exceptionally yummy so it was definitely worth it for me.

I'm not a big fan of beer, but you might be! Check out their selection of imported beers.

They also serve pasta, burgers, and sandwiches apart from their best-selling pizza which I definitely will go back for soon!

Outfit for the day:

Tribal top: SM department store - High waisted shorts: F21 - Accessories: Taipei market - Wedges: Parisian - Bag: Hong Kong

Finally got to wear my owl bangle! Isn't it so cute? :)

Definitely the most comfy pair of wedges I own. I don't normally wear heels, but I lasted about 10 hours that day in them without feeling any pain.

A typical meal for us is never complete without dessert! So we went to Stella but were seated at Rocket Room because they were full.

They serve different flavours of Arce Dairy ice cream which just means... MANTECADO! Which is also known as "Manila Vanilla" :)

Four-Layer Red Velvet Cake. -- Was moist and yummy! Not too filling, everything was just right.

Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake. -- It was calling to us! HAHAH. This was really moist and flavorful too. I love anything salted caramel from macarons to ice cream flavours. :")

My weekend pig-out buddies. :)

I love all these restaurants! Check out my recent post on Mr. Jones here.

SPOTTED: Iona Mapa and Maui Uy at Jamba Juice.
EHEHE, love you guys!

Went to SnR with my mum to buy some goodies for another CANADA sleepover. :)

Met up with my friends at High Street afterwards to have dinner at Pancake House. Ordered their spaghetti. What's new? HAHA.

Meet my grade school buddies. :) Without even planning, our colours all formed the rainbow! Which I think is pretty cool. Don't you think?

They boys slept over again and we played Balderdash but with my mum this time! It was fun like all the other sleepovers we've had. HEHE.

So this is why I live for Saturdays! I get to eat all the yummy things, do the things I love and spend time with my favourite people in the world. :")

Scrumptious Saturday

I love the weekends! Then again, doesn't everybody? Food is probably one of the things I look forward to most when thinking of the weekend because I get to eat all my favourites. Here are just some to name a few...

AHHH! ienne's cupcakes. I remember having these cupcakes once before in the Bakers Fair at Rockwell where I usually am every weekend. Coming back the next weekend excited for more, ienne was a no show. :(

But I'm glad to say that... THEY'RE BACK! I don't know for how long, but I bought a bunch of cupcakes and was definitely a satisfied customer, as always. :)

Everybody that knows me, knows my love for cupcakes! I can never have enough of 'em. I've tried quite a number from so many different places and I'd have to say that ienne's cupcakes would have to be one of my favourites!

They're not only eye-catching for their cutesy size, but I think they have the cutest paper liners! Definitely a treat for the eyes and the tummy. ;)

Outfit of the day:
Chiffon polo and Accessories: Taipei Market -
Belt: Armani Exchange (from my dad's closet hihi) -
Shorts: Mossimo - Bag: Hong Kong - Shoes: F21

I've been so into mullet tops nowadays and decided to try and put my own little twist to this polo of mine. Notice I only tucked in half of the polo?

Meet my brother, Josh. The guy who takes majority of my photos. HEHE thank youuuu!

Outfit of the day:
Polo: Zara - Pants: H&M - Shoes: Sebago

White cheese pizza.

Three Mushroom Ravioli. -- A must try!

My mum and I had dessert at this cafe called Brida. It's located at the 2/F of Rockwell, in front of Topshop. (Weird thing about it is they don't even have a signage.) I just always remember it for the "onion ring" like lights you see on the ceiling. HEHE.

It's always inevitable that anything Red Velvet is put on the list of orders when my mum and I are together.

Their Mango Torte is to die for! My personal favourite. :") The walnut crust is so delectable.

I went to Greenbelt afterwards to have dinner with Nick at Mr. Jones! I love diner type places and I think that this place has the cutest interior. Certainly a great ambience! :)

I've been hearing a lot of good things about their tapa, so we both ordered the same thing.

It wasn't bad at all! I really enjoyed it. The serving size was just right for me and I eat a lot, so it might be too big for some of you. I'd definitely go back and try their milkshakes some time. They looked really good!

We went to The Fort afterwards and had dessert at my favourite gelato joint, Bar Dolci.

I ordered the usual Ferrero and he ordered the Hazelnut drizzled with Nutella. Both equally great!

Ravioli, Pizza, Cakes, Cupcakes, Tapa, and Gelato. One big FOOD TRIP! This is what usually happens during the weekends. Now you know why I love 'em so much. :") Hope you enjoyed this post! Sorry if it was quite long.

For all you cupcake enthusiasts like myself, I suggest you try ienne's cupcakes. Let me know your experience goes and leave a comment down below. Have a happy weekend you guys! :)
